Nelliampathy hills is located in Nenmara Palakkad district Kerala,India. Nelliyampathy is known as 'Ootty of poor people'. (Ootty is the famous tourist place in Southern part of India.).The height of the hills ranges from approximately 467 m to 1572 m and it has an extremely calming effect on all who view it. It's one of the few places in Kerala where nature is at it's best and least touched by humans.we can see many wild animals including, bison , deers, pigs and all. Nature is at it's best here with a cool climate which become unbearable especially at nights.Start point there is a forest check post there and we have to give our details. The check post usually only allows vehicles from 6 am to 6 pm.To reach Nelliyampathy, one has to take the road starting from Nenmara that proceeds to the Pothundy Dam. There are about 10 hairpin bends that have to be negotiated on the way to Nelliyampathy.
