Bekal Fort is one of the most beautiful forts in Kerala.It is a beautiful fort with an amazing sea view. The lawns are beautiful and lush green. The atmosphere is truly relaxing.
However there is no guide that can provide you with a historical view of the place and its importance in history.

It is located at Kasargod District in Kerala. Bekal is a big fort spread across 40 acres of area.. Build at 1650 by local king and subsequently ruled by Tipu Sultan and British govt this fort was used for strategic control for the seashore - never used as administrative purpose.

The historical fort and its construction is amazing. Good treat for a photographer. The fort, park and beach is suitable for all age group. 15 rupees entry fee for local and 200 Rs for overseas citizens. Need to pay extra money for camera permit inside the fort!
